Target Information
TDP-43는 HIV-1 TAR DNA 서열에 결합하여 전사 억제 인자로 작용하는 세포 단백질로 처음 확인되었습니다. 이후 연구에서 TDP-43가 CFTR 유전자의 엑손 9 스플라이싱을 조절함을 보여주었으며, 이는 3’ 스플라이스 부위의 UG 반복 서열과의 결합을 통해 이루어집니다.
병리적 형태의 TDP-43는 과인산화, 유비퀴틴화, 절단된 형태로 존재하며, 이는 ubiquitin-positive, tau-negative, alpha-synuclein-negative 전측두엽 치매(FTLD-U)의 주요 병리 단백질로 알려져 있습니다.
TDP-43는 HIV-1 TAR RNA 서열에 결합하는 단백질 TRBP1과는 관련이 없습니다.
