Target Information

BAX는 Bcl-2 패밀리 단백질의 일원으로, 세포사멸(apoptosis) 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
Bcl-2가 항-apoptotic 기능을 가지는 반면, BAX는 pro-apoptotic 기능을 수행합니다.
BAX는 Bcl-2와의 homo/heterodimer 형성을 통해 세포사멸을 조절하며, Bax α (21 kDa)와 Bax β (24 kDa) 두 가지 주요 isoform을 가집니다.
BAX 과발현은 세포사멸을 촉진하며, 다른 BCL-2 관련 단백질과 heterodimer를 형성할 수 있습니다.
