• In sandwich ELISAs, less than 20% cross-reactivity with recombinant feline SCF, less than 8% with recombinant human SCF, and less than 0.5% with recombinant mouse SCF is observed.
• Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
• Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody by the LAL method.

Target Information

Stem Cell Factor (SCF) is the ligand of the c-Kit oncogene and is expressed by various structural and inflammatory cells in the airways. Binding of SCF to the c-Kit receptor induces receptor homodimerization and activates signaling pathways such as PI-3, PLC-gamma, Jak/STAT, and MAP kinase.
SCF expression promotes mast cell survival and release of histamine, pro-inflammatory cytokines, and chemokines. Inhibition of the SCF/c-Kit pathway reduces histamine levels, mast cell and eosinophil infiltration, IL-4 production, and airway hyperresponsiveness, suggesting potential therapeutic applications in inflammatory diseases such as asthma.
At least two isoforms of SCF are known to exist.
