In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse 4-1BB Ligand, recombinant human APRIL, BAFF, EDA-A2, Fas Ligand, GITR Ligand, LIGHT, OX40 Ligand, TNF-alpha, TRAIL, and TWEAK is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Target Information

CD137 ligand (CD137L) is a type II membrane protein and part of the TNF superfamily. It acts as a co-stimulatory molecule expressed on antigen-presenting cells (DCs, monocytes/macrophages, B cells) and is upregulated upon activation.
Its receptor, CD137/4-1BB, is expressed on various cells, including inflamed endothelial cells, where interaction enhances monocyte extravasation.
Activated T cells express CD137, and engagement with CD137L promotes T cell proliferation, IL-2 secretion, survival, and cytotoxic activity.
CD137L is also found on most B-cell lymphomas (mantle cell, follicular, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma) but absent in Hodgkin and T-cell lymphomas.
It is expressed in carcinoma cell lines and may play a role in T cell–tumor cell interactions.
