Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 20% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Siglec-2 is observed.
- Less than 1% cross-reactivity with rhSiglec-5, rhSiglec-7, rhSiglec-9, rhSiglec-10, recombinant mouse Siglec-3, and Siglec-F.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
CD22 (BL-CAM) is a type I integral membrane glycoprotein (130–140 kDa) expressed in both cytoplasm and membrane of B-lymphocytes.
It appears early in B-cell differentiation, similar to CD19, and is expressed in mature B cells but absent in plasma cells.
CD22 is strongly expressed in hairy cell leukemia and may assist in phenotyping mature leukemias.
It binds preferentially to α2,6-linked sialic acid and plays a regulatory role in B-cell receptor signaling through interactions with Src family kinases and cytoplasmic phosphatases.
CD22 is positive in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but negative in classical Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
