Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-17A. Anti-Human IL-17A-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human IL-17A by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. In conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human IL-17A (500-P07) as a capture antibody, it detects at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human IL-17A.

Western Blot:
For hIL-17A detection by Western blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hIL-17A is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Interleukin-17A (IL-17A, CTLA-8) is a CD4+ T cell-derived cytokine promoting inflammatory responses and elevated in rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, and transplant rejection.
IL-17A is a 32 kDa, disulfide-linked homodimer (136 amino acids) and part of the IL-17A–F family. It signals through the IL-17 receptor (IL-17R/CDw217).
Human IL-17A stimulates epithelial, endothelial, and fibroblastic cells to secrete IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF, and PGE2, and supports CD34+ progenitor proliferation and neutrophil maturation.
It regulates NF-κB and MAPK activities, induces IL-6 and COX-2 expression, and enhances nitric oxide production.
