Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human PlGF-1. Anti-Human PlGF-1-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hPlGF by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human PlGF (500-P226) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hPlGF.

Western Blot:
To detect hPlGF by Western Blot analysis, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hPlGF is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

PlGF-1 is an angiogenic factor belonging to the cysteine-knot superfamily of growth factors. It is expressed in placental tissues, the colon, and mammary carcinomas. PlGF-1 signals through the VEGFR-1/FLT1 receptor and stimulates endothelial cell proliferation and migration.
