Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human PlGF-1. The anti-Human PlGF-1-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect human PlGF by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When used with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human PlGF (500-P226) as a capture antibody, it allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hPlGF.

Western Blot:
For Western blot analysis, use at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hPlGF is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

PlGF-1 (Placenta Growth Factor-1) is an angiogenic factor belonging to the cysteine-knot superfamily of growth factors. It is expressed in placental tissues, colon, and mammary carcinomas. PlGF-1 signals through the VEGFR-1/FLT1 receptor and stimulates endothelial cell proliferation and migration.
