Description:
The monoclonal antibody 2H7CD155 recognizes CD155, also known as the poliovirus receptor. CD155 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, with four isoforms; the alpha and delta forms are expressed on monocytes, prostate cancer cells, and neurectodermal and monocytic tumor cell lines. It is also found during mid-gastrulation in embryonic development. CD155 is involved in adhesion via interaction with vitronectin and plays a role in NK cell-mediated killing of tumor cells. CD226 and CD96 are known ligands for CD155. Blocking CD155 is under therapeutic investigation for poliovirus variant prevention.

This antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometric analysis of U937 cell line. Recommended use at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test in a 100 µL final volume. Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.
Light Sensitivity:
This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-57) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency. Clone-specific performance should be verified empirically.
Excitation / Emission / Laser:
488–561 nm excitation, 775 nm emission; compatible with Blue, Green, and Yellow-Green lasers.
Target Information
The encoded protein is a transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily. Its extracellular domain mediates attachment to vitronectin, while the intracellular domain interacts with dynein light chain Tctex-1/DYNLT1. This gene is primate-specific and serves as the receptor for poliovirus during viral replication. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms exist.
