Target Information
PIK3CG (p110 gamma)는 class IB phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase 계열의 유일한 구성원으로, class IA family와 함께 중요한 second messenger인 PIP2를 생성합니다. Class IA 효소가 receptor tyrosine kinase downstream에서 신호를 전달하는 반면, PIK3CG는 주로 GPCR downstream에서 작용합니다. 이 효소는 inositol ring의 3-hydroxyl group을 인산화하며, 세포 간 접착(E-cadherin-mediated adhesion) 및 NK 세포의 세포독성 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한, PIK3CG 유전자는 myeloid leukemia에서 흔히 결손된 염색체 7 영역에 위치합니다.
