Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
The androgen receptor (AR) belongs to the steroid-hormone receptor superfamily of nuclear receptors. It is a >90 kDa ligand-activated transcription factor with three functional domains: N-terminal, DNA-binding, and androgen-binding.
Upon binding testosterone (T) or dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the receptor dissociates from accessory proteins, translocates into the nucleus, dimerizes, and activates transcription of androgen-responsive genes.
AR signaling is crucial for male reproductive organ development (prostate, epididymis) and also affects muscle, hair follicles, and brain.
It regulates MAP kinase signaling, and abnormalities are linked to diseases such as prostate cancer, Kennedy’s disease, and male infertility. Mutations can cause complete androgen insensitivity (CAIS).
