For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.

Target Information

In the intact cell, DNA closely associates with histones and other nuclear proteins to form chromatin. Chromatin remodeling is a critical component of transcriptional regulation, with acetylation of nucleosomal histones serving as a major mechanism.
Histone deacetylases (HDACs) reverse this process and are associated with transcriptional silencing. The HDAC family includes HDAC1–9. HDAC9 and HDAC9a are alternatively spliced isoforms; HDAC9a is 132 amino acids shorter but retains catalytic activity. Both isoforms repress myocyte enhancer-binding factor 2-mediated transcription and are expressed in brain, skeletal muscle, kidney, placenta, and pancreas.
