Product Specific Information

The monoclonal rat IgG2a kappa antibody is used as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
This eBR2a antibody is validated for flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and human peripheral blood cells, and should be used at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Brilliant Violet™ 786 (BV786) is a tandem dye emitting at 786 nm, suitable for cytometers with a 405 nm violet laser. Ensure instrument compatibility before use.

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), it is recommended to use:

• Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42), or
• Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75)
  to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect vial and stained samples from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
Fixation: Samples may be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.
Compatibility: Brilliant Violet™ 786 is not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information

Rat IgG2a is an immunoglobulin subclass used in research and diagnostics. It activates complement and mediates antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC).
Molecular weight: ~160 kDa (two heavy chains and two light chains).
Commonly used as a control antibody in rat model experiments, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry.
