Description:
Monoclonal mouse IgG2b kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood and mouse splenocytes.
Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Violet™ 786 (BV786) is a tandem dye emitting at 786 nm, optimized for cytometers equipped with a violet (405 nm) laser. Ensure instrument compatibility before use.

Buffer Recommendations:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity:
Sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect from light during storage and use.

Fixation Compatibility:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.
Not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information

Mouse IgG2b is a subtype of immunoglobulin G antibody produced by B cells in response to antigens.
It is the third most abundant IgG subtype in serum and plays a key role in adaptive immunity, including opsonization, complement activation, and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity.
It is used widely in research applications such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry, as well as in therapeutic research including immunotherapy and vaccine development.
