Product Specific Information

This monoclonal mouse IgG2a kappa antibody is used as an isotype control for mouse IgG2a antibodies.
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Tested with normal human peripheral blood and mouse splenocytes. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Brilliant Violet™ 786 (BV786) is a tandem dye emitting at 786 nm, suitable for cytometers equipped with a violet (405 nm) laser. Ensure instrument compatibility.

Buffer recommendations:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light sensitivity:
BV786 is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and samples from light.

Fixation compatibility:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark. BV786 is not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information

Mouse IgG2a is a subtype of immunoglobulin G produced by B cells in response to antigens. It plays a key role in opsonization, complement activation, and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity.
Widely used in research applications such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry, as well as in immunotherapy and vaccine development.
