Product Specific Information
- Predicted to react with chicken, canine, and mouse based on sequence homology.
- Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining using 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
- After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with the primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Suggested positive control: tonsil tissue.
Target Information
PAX5 is a member of the paired box (PAX) family of transcription factors. These proteins are key regulators in early development, and their altered expression can contribute to neoplastic transformation.
PAX5 functions as the B-cell lineage specific activator protein (BSAP), expressed at early but not late stages of B-cell differentiation. It is also expressed in developing CNS and testis, suggesting roles in neural development and spermatogenesis.
Mutations in PAX5 are associated with leukemia and acute lymphoblastic conditions.
