• AA Sequence of recombinant protein:

• Preparation:
  Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-2. Anti-Human IL-2-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

• Sandwich ELISA:
  For detection of hIL-2 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL antibody concentration. In conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human IL-2 (500-P22) as a capture antibody, it detects at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of recombinant hIL-2.

• Western Blot:
  For detection of hIL-2 by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL antibody concentration. With compatible secondary reagents, detection limit for recombinant hIL-2 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

• Packaging:

Target Information

Interleukin 2 (IL-2) is an immuno-modulatory cytokine essential for proliferation of activated T cells, differentiation of B cells, natural killer cells, monocytes, and macrophages. IL-2 signals through the IL-2 receptor (IL-2R), a heterotrimeric complex whose gamma chain is also shared by IL-4 and IL-7. Monoallelic expression of the IL-2 gene in mature thymocytes represents a unique regulatory mechanism. Disruption of IL-2-like genes in mice leads to ulcerative colitis-like disease, highlighting its critical role in immune response regulation.
