For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Steroid receptors are ligand-dependent intracellular proteins that stimulate transcription of specific genes by binding to DNA sequences following activation by hormones.
Before activation, steroid receptors form complexes with proteins such as HSP70, HSP90, and immunophilins (FKBP52, FKBP54, CyP-40), as well as other proteins like p23, p60, and p48.
p23, encoded by the human PTGES3 gene, is a 160-amino acid phosphoprotein highly conserved across species. It interacts with HSP90 and is essential for the binding of HSP90 and CyP-40 to progesterone receptor (PR).
Although its precise function remains unclear, p23 plays an important role in PR activity and steroid receptor complex formation.
