For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Steroid receptors are ligand-dependent intracellular proteins that regulate transcription of specific genes by binding to DNA sequences after activation by hormones.
Before activation, these receptors associate with several proteins, including HSP70, HSP90, immunophilins (FKBP52, FKBP54, CyP-40), and proteins such as p23, p60, and p48.

p23, encoded by the human PTGES3 gene, is a 160-amino-acid acidic phosphoprotein highly conserved across species. It binds to HSP90 and is essential for the interaction between HSP90, CyP-40, and the progesterone receptor (PR). Although its exact function remains unclear, p23 is considered critical for PR activity.
