Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of Epo-R only when phosphorylated at Tyr426.
Target Information
EpoR encodes the erythropoietin receptor, a member of the cytokine receptor family. Binding of erythropoietin activates Jak2 tyrosine kinase, triggering intracellular pathways such as Ras/MAP kinase, PI3K, and STAT signaling. These pathways promote erythroid cell survival. Defects in EPOR may cause erythroleukemia or familial erythrocytosis, and dysregulation may contribute to tumor growth. Multiple transcript variants arise from alternative splicing.
Diseases associated with EPOR include Erythrocytosis, Familial, 1 and Erythroleukemia.
