This antibody specifically recognizes FMO in Oryza sativa subspecies japonica (Rice).
Target Information
FMOs are a subfamily of class B external flavoprotein monooxygenases (EC 1.14.13), belonging to the monooxygenase oxidoreductase family along with Baeyer-Villiger monooxygenases and microbial N-hydroxylating monooxygenases. FMOs are present in fungi, yeast, plants, mammals, and bacteria.
In plants, FMOs contribute to defense against pathogens and catalyze specific steps in the biosynthesis of auxin, a plant hormone. They are also involved in the metabolism of glucosinolates. These non-xenobiotic roles suggest potential additional functions of FMOs in other organisms.
