MA5-15887 targets PRK2 in indirect ELISA, FACS, IHC, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human, Mouse, Non-human primate, and Rat samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human PRK2 expressed in E. coli.
MA5-15887 detects PRK2 with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 140 kDa.

PKN2 (PRK2), a close relative of PKCs, is a regulator of mitosis and cytokinesis exit. It plays a role in:

  • Actin cytoskeleton assembly and cell migration
  • Cell adhesion and tumor cell invasion
  • Transcription activation signaling
  • Phosphorylation of CTTN and HDAC5, affecting actin association and nuclear import
  • RhoA-mediated apical junction formation in epithelial cells
  • FYN kinase activation for keratinocyte differentiation
  • Inhibition of Akt pro-survival signaling
  • Stimulation of HCV RNA replication via NS5B phosphorylation
