Product Specific Information
Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as a ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generates a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain band.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- High specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
IL-10 encodes a cytokine primarily produced by monocytes, with some production by lymphocytes. It plays a key role in immunoregulation and inflammation by:
- Down-regulating Th1 cytokines, MHC class II antigens, and costimulatory molecules on macrophages
- Enhancing B cell survival, proliferation, and antibody production
- Blocking NF-kappa B activity
- Regulating the JAK-STAT signaling pathway
Knockout studies in mice indicate IL-10 is essential for intestinal immune regulation. Mutations in IL10 are associated with increased susceptibility to HIV-1 infection and rheumatoid arthritis. Diseases linked to IL10 include Graft-Versus-Host Disease and Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
