- Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as a ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generates a ~25 kDa light chain and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.

Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. In response to cytokines and growth factors, STAT family members are phosphorylated by receptor-associated kinases, forming homo- or heterodimers that translocate to the nucleus to act as transcription activators.
STAT5 beta mediates signaling triggered by ligands such as IL2, IL4, CSF1, and growth hormones, and is involved in processes like TCR signaling, apoptosis, mammary gland development, and liver gene expression dimorphism.
This gene can fuse with the RARA gene in some acute promyelocytic leukemias (APLL), and dysregulation of its pathway may contribute to disease development.
