Preparation:
Produced in BALB/c mice immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human MIP-1α (CCL3). The anti-Human MIP-1α (CCL3)-specific antibody was purified from cell culture supernatant using Protein G affinity chromatography.

Sandwich ELISA:
Assuming 100 µL/well, a concentration of 2.0–4.0 µg/mL of this antibody detects at least 2000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human MIP-1α (CCL3) when used with PeproTech Biotinylated Antigen Affinity Purified Anti-Human MIP-1α (CCL3) (500-P38GBT) as the detection antibody at 1.0–2.0 µg/mL.

Western Blot:
For detection of Human MIP-1α (CCL3), use 2.0–4.0 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human MIP-1α (CCL3) is 1.0–2.0 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

MIP-1α and MIP-1β are structurally and functionally related CC chemokines involved in host defense against bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal pathogens. They regulate the trafficking and activation of inflammatory cells such as macrophages, lymphocytes, and NK cells.
MIP-1α selectively attracts CD8+ lymphocytes, while MIP-1β attracts CD4+ lymphocytes. Both are potent chemoattractants for B cells, eosinophils, and dendritic cells, and are active on both human and murine hematopoietic cells.
