Preparation:
Produced in C3H/HeJ mice immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human MCP-3 (CCL7). Anti-Human MCP-3 (CCL7)-specific antibody was purified from ascites fluid by Protein A affinity chromatography.

Sandwich ELISA:
Assuming 100 µL/well, a concentration of 2.0–4.0 µg/mL of this antibody will detect Recombinant Human MCP-3 (CCL7) when used with PeproTech Biotinylated Antigen Affinity Purified Anti-Human MCP-3 (CCL7) (500-P37BT) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 0.5–1.0 µg/mL.

Western Blot:
To detect Human MCP-3 (CCL7) by Western blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.5–1.0 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human MCP-3 (CCL7) is 2.0–4.0 ng/lane under reducing conditions and 0.25–0.50 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

This is a secreted chemokine that attracts macrophages during inflammation and metastasis. It belongs to the C-C subfamily of chemokines, characterized by two adjacent cysteine residues. The protein is an in vivo substrate of matrix metalloproteinase 2, which degrades components of the extracellular matrix.
