Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as a ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generates a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Ribosomes catalyze protein synthesis and consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit, composed of 4 RNA species and ~80 distinct proteins.
This gene encodes a cytoplasmic ribosomal protein, a component of the 40S subunit, belonging to the S6E family. It is a major substrate of protein kinases with multiple C-terminal serine residues phosphorylated by various kinases.
Phosphorylation is induced by growth factors, tumor-promoting agents, and mitogens, while dephosphorylation occurs during growth arrest. The protein may regulate cell growth and proliferation via selective translation of specific mRNA classes.
As typical for ribosomal protein genes, multiple processed pseudogenes are dispersed throughout the genome.
