Target Information
MAP3K8 (COT) is a serine/threonine kinase that activates both MAP and JNK kinase pathways and plays a role in the cell cycle.
MAPK signaling cascades include MAPK (ERK), MAPK kinase (MEK), and MAPK kinase kinase (MEKK).
MEKK8 activates NF-kappa-B1 by stimulating proteasome-mediated proteolysis of NF-kappa-B1/p105.
Expressed in normal tissues and tumor-derived cell lines. The 58 kDa form is activated during S and G2/M phases of the cell cycle.
