This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

IL-12 is an interleukin produced by dendritic cells, neutrophils, macrophages, and human lymphoblastoid cells in response to antigenic stimulation. IL-12 is a heterodimeric cytokine encoded by IL-12A (p35) and IL-12B (p40).
IL-23 is a heterodimeric cytokine that shares a subunit with IL-12 (IL-12B) along with an IL-23A (IL-23p19) subunit.

Functional roles:

• IL-12 increases expression of vascular endothelial adhesion molecule-1 on endothelium
• Directs leukocytes toward tumors and facilitates ischemic-hemorrhagic necrosis of tumor tissue
• IL-23 stimulates memory T-cells and is required for induction, expansion, and effector functions of Th17 cells
• Th17 cells upregulate neutrophil chemokines and pro-inflammatory cytokines
