Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

G protein-coupled receptor GPR49 (LGR5) is expressed in brain, skeletal muscle, placenta, and spinal cord. ESTs have been isolated from normal human brain (amygdala), embryo, and placenta libraries.
GPCRs represent one of the largest families of signaling molecules, characterized by seven membrane-spanning helices and existing in active and inactive forms. They mediate signaling through G-proteins and downstream effectors.
Regulatory mechanisms of GPCRs, including negative regulation, have significant physiological and pharmacological implications. GPCR-targeted drugs such as Zyprexa (Eli Lilly) and Claritin (Schering-Plough) demonstrate the therapeutic potential of this receptor family.
