Target Information

Nectin-3는 83 kDa의 type I transmembrane glycoprotein으로, immunoglobulin superfamily에 속하는 세포 간 접착 분자입니다. Nectin은 칼슘 비의존성 immunoglobulin-like cell-cell adhesion molecule로, nectin 1–4의 4가지 멤버로 구성됩니다.
Nectin들은 homophilic 및 heterophilic trans-interaction을 통해 다양한 세포 간 접합을 형성하며, epithelial cell과 fibroblast의 cadherin 기반 adherens junction, neuron의 synaptic junction, testis의 Sertoli cell–spermatid junction 등에서 cadherin과 함께 또는 독립적으로 작용합니다.
Nectin-2와 Nectin-3는 광범위하게 발현되며, Nectin-1은 주로 뇌에서 풍부하게 발현됩니다. Nectin-3는 testis와 placenta 조직, 다양한 세포주에서 주로 발현되며, afadin과 상호작용하여 cadherin 기반 세포 간 접합을 유지합니다. 또한 Nectin-3와 CD155 (Poliovirus Receptor)의 ectodomain은 강한 결합 친화성을 보입니다.
