Target Information
Humanin은 알츠하이머병 관련 뇌에서 발견된 새로운 24 아미노산 폴리펩타이드로, 미토콘드리아 16s rRNA와 99% 상동성을 가집니다. 신경 보호 및 세포 보호 인자로 작용하며, 베타아밀로이드 및 FAD 유전자에 의해 유도된 신경세포 사멸을 억제합니다. Bcl-2/Bax 계열 단백질(Bax, Bak, Bid, BimEL)과 결합하여 항세포사멸 기능을 수행하고, JAK/STAT 신호 경로를 활성화합니다. 또한 IGFBP-3과 상호작용하여 교모세포종 세포에서 IGFBP-3 유도 세포사멸을 억제합니다. Humanin은 대장 및 고환에서도 발현됩니다.
