Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They combine multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, offering the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, with the consistency of recombinant production.

While functionally similar to polyclonal antibodies, recognizing multiple epitopes and providing high detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets, these antibodies have a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring consistent lot-to-lot performance.

Target Information

MAP3K8 (COT) is a serine/threonine kinase that activates both MAP and JNK kinase pathways and plays a role in the cell cycle.
MAPK signaling cascades include MAPK/ERK, MAPK kinase (MEK), and MAPK kinase kinase (MEKK). MEKK phosphorylates and activates MEK, which in turn activates MAPK. These cascades are highly conserved across species.

MEKK8 can activate NF-kappa-B1 through proteasome-mediated proteolysis of NF-kappa-B1/p105. This cytoplasmic protein is expressed in several normal tissues and tumor-derived cell lines. The 58 kDa form is activated during S and G2/M phases of the cell cycle, with phosphorylation occurring mainly on Ser residues in the longer form and on both Ser and Thr residues in the shorter form.
