Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with mouse, rabbit, rat, and porcine based on sequence homology.
Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies combine multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies, offering both the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, with the consistency of recombinant production.
They recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, providing enhanced detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets.
Each lot is produced with a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, eliminating biological variability typical of polyclonal antibodies.
Note: Formerly called “Recombinant polyclonal antibody”, now rebranded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ antibody”. Physical product and performance remain unchanged.
Target Information
The CNTF gene encodes a polypeptide hormone mainly active in the nervous system, promoting neurotransmitter synthesis and neurite outgrowth.
It acts as a survival factor for neurons and oligodendrocytes and may help reduce tissue damage during inflammatory responses.
Mutations causing aberrant splicing can lead to CNTF deficiency.
A read-through transcript with ZFP91 has been identified but is thought to be non-coding.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
