Antibody detects endogenous levels of VEGFR2 only when phosphorylated at Tyr1175.
Target Information
KDR (FLK1, VEGFR2) is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase that binds vascular endothelial growth factor with high affinity. It is expressed early in development by endothelial cell precursors. FLK1 encodes one of the two receptors of VEGF, known as the kinase insert domain receptor. Its signaling and trafficking are regulated by multiple factors including Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin αVβ3, and T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase. Mutations in FLK1 are implicated in infantile capillary hemangiomas.
