Target Information
PCNA (Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen)는 DNA 복제에 필수적인 단백질로, DNA 절제 및 불일치 복구 경로에 관여합니다.
CDK 억제제 p21, 구조 특이적 엔도뉴클레아제 Fen1 및 XPG, DNA cytosine 5-methyltransferase (MCMT)와 결합합니다.
PCNA는 세포 증식 잠재력을 가진 세포의 표지자이며, 종양 조직의 증식 상태를 평가하는 데 유용한 마커입니다.
세포 주기에서 G1기 초기와 S기에 발현되며, 핵 내에서 DNA polymerase δ의 보조 인자로 작용하여 DNA 복제 과정에서 효율을 높입니다.
DNA 손상 시 PCNA는 유비퀴틴화되어 RAD6 의존적 DNA 복구 경로에 참여합니다.
두 가지 전사체 변이가 동일한 단백질을 암호화하며, 염색체 4번 및 X 염색체에 가성유전자가 보고되어 있습니다.
