Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
Kindlin-1 is a member of the kindlin family of focal adhesion proteins containing a FERM domain and a pleckstrin homology domain. It is involved in:
- Integrin signaling and cytoskeleton–extracellular matrix linkage
- Cell adhesion and keratinocyte proliferation
- Activation of ITGA2B when coexpressed with talin
Mutations in Kindlin-1 are associated with Kindler syndrome, a recessive skin disorder characterized by blistering, photosensitivity, poikiloderma, and atrophy.
