Product Specific Information

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as confirmed by SDS-PAGE.

Target Information

USP13 is a deubiquitinase that mediates deubiquitination of target proteins such as BECN1, MITF, SKP2, and USP10, and is involved in various cellular processes including autophagy and endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD).
It forms part of a regulatory loop controlling autophagy and p53/TP53 levels by stabilizing PIK3C3/VPS34-containing complexes through BECN1 deubiquitination. USP13 also stabilizes USP10, which regulates p53 stability.
Additionally, USP13 interacts with nuclear UFD1 to mediate deubiquitination of SKP2, influencing ERAD, and regulates UBL4A in the BAG6/BAT3 complex.
It can stabilize SIAH2 independently of its deubiquitinase activity and preferentially cleaves Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin chains.
Although it shows weak deubiquitinase activity in vitro, further experiments are required to confirm ISG15 cleavage activity. [UniProt]
