Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% as confirmed by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
MYO18A may link Golgi membranes to the cytoskeleton and participate in the tensile force required for vesicle budding from the Golgi. It may play a role in Golgi membrane trafficking and contribute to maintaining the flattened shape of the Golgi apparatus.
Additionally, in cooperation with LURAP1 and CDC42BPA/CDC42BPB, MYO18A is involved in modulating lamellar actomyosin retrograde flow, which is crucial for cell protrusion and migration.
It may also help maintain stromal cell architectures necessary for cell-to-cell contact, regulate trafficking, expression, and activation of innate immune receptors on macrophages, and suppress inflammatory responsiveness of macrophages by modulating CD14 trafficking.
