Amino Acid Sequence of Recombinant Protein:

Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human BD-3. Anti-Human BD-3-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and subsequently biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
For detection of hBD-3 using sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When paired with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human BD-3 (500-P241) as a capture antibody, it enables detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hBD-3.

Western Blot:
For Western blot detection of hBD-3, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL of this antibody. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hBD-3 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Defensins are a family of microbicidal and cytotoxic peptides produced by neutrophils. Members share high sequence similarity. The gene encodes defensin beta 103, which exhibits broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity and plays a key role in innate epithelial defense.
