Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human BD-3. Anti-Human BD-3-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human BD-3 matrix.
Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human BD-3 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL is required. In conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human BD-3 (500-P241Bt) as a detection antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human BD-3.
Western Blot:
To detect Human BD-3 by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human BD-3 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Target Information
Defensins form a family of microbicidal and cytotoxic peptides produced by neutrophils. Members of the defensin family are highly similar in protein sequence. This gene encodes defensin, beta 103, which has broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity and may play an important role in innate epithelial defense.
