Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human BD-3. The anti-Human BD-3 antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and subsequently biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
For detection of hBD-3 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. Combined with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human BD-3 (500-P241) as a capture antibody, it enables detection of 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hBD-3.

Western Blot:
For detection of hBD-3 by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL of this antibody. With compatible secondary reagents, detection limit for Recombinant hBD-3 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Defensins are microbicidal and cytotoxic peptides produced by neutrophils. Members of the defensin family share high sequence similarity. The gene encoding defensin β103 exhibits broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity and plays a key role in innate epithelial defense.
