Product Specific Information

Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. After reconstitution, store aliquots at -20 °C for higher stability, or at 4 °C with an antibacterial agent. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability.


Target Information

BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor) is a member of the neurotrophin family. It is synthesized as pre-proBDNF, then processed to proBDNF and mature BDNF (14 kDa). Both pro- and mature forms are biologically active and secreted in synaptic vesicles.
BDNF is widely expressed in the central nervous system and acts via TrkB and p75-NTR receptors, promoting neuronal survival, differentiation, and synaptic regulation. It plays a key role in memory formation and is implicated in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Huntington’s, as well as in mood disorder regulation.
