Product Specific Information
Goats were immunized with ECS (Enterokinase Cleavage Site, DYKDDDDK) conjugated to KLH. The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography using the immobilized peptide on a solid support.
Target Information
The DYKDDDDK tag, also known as the FLAG tag, is a short peptide sequence (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) widely used as a protein tag to facilitate purification, detection, and localization of recombinant proteins. It can be fused to either the N- or C-terminus of a target protein, allowing for easy identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies. Due to its hydrophilic nature, it minimally affects protein folding or activity. The FLAG tag is a registered trademark of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.
