Rabbits were immunized with ECS, Enterokinase Cleavage Site (DYKDDDDK) conjugated to KLH. The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography using the peptide immobilized on a solid support, ensuring high specificity and affinity for the DYKDDDDK epitope.

Target Information

The DYKDDDDK tag, also known as the FLAG tag, is an eight–amino acid peptide (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) commonly used as a protein tag to facilitate purification, detection, and localization of recombinant proteins. It can be fused to either the N- or C-terminus of a target protein, allowing efficient identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies.
The FLAG tag is highly hydrophilic, minimizing interference with protein folding or function, and is widely used in molecular biology and biochemistry for protein expression, interaction, and localization studies.
