Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with the primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is breast carcinoma tissue.
Target Information
ErbB2 (HER2) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that is overexpressed in certain breast tumors.
Herceptin, used in the treatment of metastatic HER2-positive cancer, is a monoclonal antibody targeting this kinase.
