Target Information
Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) is a protein tyrosine kinase involved in interferon-alpha/beta and -gamma signal transduction pathways. Upon cytokine stimulation, JAK1 recruits and phosphorylates Stat transcription factors, which dimerize, translocate to the nucleus, and regulate target gene transcription. Tyrosine phosphorylation at residues 1022 and 1023 is critical for catalytic activation.
