Product Specific Information
This antibody binds to the HLENEVARLKK peptide from the leucine-zipper domain of the S. cerevisiae GCN4 transcriptional activator with picomolar affinity.
Target Information
GCN4 is a transcription factor protein in yeast that regulates genes involved in amino acid biosynthesis, including HIS4, HIS7, HIS3, ARG1, ARG3, ARG4, and ARG5,6. It contains a basic leucine zipper (bZIP) domain that binds specific DNA sequences to control gene transcription. GCN4 also participates in stress response and nutrient signaling pathways such as GSH1, YAP1, and TRX2. Structurally, it features a dimeric coiled-coil region for protein-protein interactions and a DNA-binding bZIP domain.
