- Specificity: This antibody binds to human SIRP-beta and SIRP-gamma.
Target Information
SIRP beta and SIRP gamma are members of the signal regulatory protein (SIRP) family. These transmembrane receptors are expressed on immune cells and neurons. They regulate cellular signaling pathways involved in immune responses, cell adhesion, and phagocytosis. Specifically, they interact with the protein tyrosine phosphatase SHP-1, a negative regulator of immune cell activation. By binding to SHP-1, SIRP beta and SIRP gamma inhibit immune cell activation and promote immune tolerance. Additionally, these proteins are implicated in neuronal signaling and synaptic plasticity, contributing to synapse formation and regulation of neuronal activity.
