Product Specific Information
This antibody binds to the HLENEVARLKK peptide from the leucine-zipper domain of the S. cerevisiae GCN4 transcriptional activator with picomolar affinity.
Target Information
GCN4 is a transcription factor protein in yeast that regulates genes involved in amino acid biosynthesis, including HIS4, HIS7, HIS3, ARG1, ARG3, ARG4, ARG5,6.
It contains a basic leucine zipper (bZIP) domain enabling DNA binding and transcription regulation.
GCN4 also participates in stress response and nutrient signaling pathways, such as GSH1, YAP1, TRX2.
Structurally, it consists of a dimeric coiled-coil domain for protein-protein interactions and a DNA-binding bZIP domain.
